Hammond Park Stingrays

The Hammond Park Stingrays are a community swim team that welcomes all kids ages four to eighteen to join us in fun, friends, and fast swimming during the summer months. The team's focus is on skill development, healthy competition, team building and fun. Outside the water, we have team activities that build a lifelong camaraderie among its members. We compete in the Central Maryland Swim League (CMSL); in 2025, Hammond Park will compete in the league's Division 1.

Stingray swim practices begin the Tuesday after Memorial Day.  Swim meets begin in mid June and continue until the end of July. (Please see the calendar for exact meet dates.) Many other team events happen throughout the season such as Team Parties, Pancake Fridays, Pep Rallies and other fun and social events. We also have "themes" for each meet to increase team spirit. Registration for the team opens in mid April. Also, please keep in mind that per our league rules, all swim team members must be members of the pool.

Our team also relies on parent volunteers throughout the season. At every meet (home and away), we rely on the help of every family to volunteer - many volunteer opportunities require no prior experience!
