Congratulations to Mary Zhao who broke the HP record for the 9-10 girls 25 breaststroke with a time of 19.76!

Here is the list of events for Shenanigans. The order of events may change, so the swimmers need to be sure to listen for the event that they want to swim. They will line up along the fence behind the lanes where the blocks usually are. If they have friends they want to swim with, that is fine. The coaches will do their best to keep everyone together.

Coach Skylar

We are sad to announce that this is Coach Skylar’s last week with us. She is going to Army Advance Camp after the meet on Saturday. Please be sure to wish her well before she leaves! We wish her good weather and good health at camp and we hope she enjoys her next year at college! Thank you for your service to our country!

We knew when we hired Skylar that she couldn’t stay the whole season, but we are grateful for the time she could be here.

Wynnewood Warrior Championship

The Wynnewood Warrior Championship (Novice) meet is on Monday, July 13. Please declare by Tuesday, July 7. This meet has an added cost for the team/swimmers, so please only sign up if you will attend. Also, we will need workers for the meet, so be prepared to be a timer, clerk or course, or table worker. If you are not willing to work at the meet, please do not sign up! We need to fill our slots and I won’t be able to help out this year.

As I mentioned before, this meet is set up differently and you cannot swim faster than the posted times. There are also more age groups in this meet for the younger swimmers. Each swimmer may swim up to 3 events.

Warmups begin at 4 (our exact time will be assigned later)

Upcoming Meet at Andover - July 11

Please declare by Tuesday. I have more information about the location and will send it later in the week.

Reminder, swimmers can ask for specific events, but the coaches will determine the final entries. Please let them know if your swimmer is available for a relay.

Warmups start at 8:30, please arrive by 8:15.

Meet Starts: 9am

Job signups are open.

The theme of the meet is Superheros. Dress as your favorite superhero.

End of Season Celebration - July 19

Kloby’s will be catering the event again this year. We will have pulled pork, chicken thighs, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, salad, veggies, and dessert. We will have limited drinks available that we left over from our concessions, so please bring your own. This year, the team will be able to cover the cost of the meal for swimmers and immediate family (parents and siblings only). I need an accurate head count, so please RSVP in SwimTopia by July 10! If you don’t RSVP, there will not be enough food for you.

Additional guests (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) will cost $15 per person and you can pay by cash to Christina or Aaron at any event or by card at a home event (Shenanigans or the celebration evening).

Mini Ray Meet - July 13

Please declare in Swimtopia if you would like to swim in the mini ray meet on Sunday, July 13. We welcome all junior coaches and older siblings to help time! All mini rays are invited to try this practice meet. There will be breakfast casserole, donuts, and candy for sale.

End of Season Meets

Stingrays can also declare for the Divisional Championship meet. Coaches will assign all events for Divisionals, but they need to know who is available.
