Meet information:
Address
Andover Recreation
819 Main Ave
Linthicum Heights, MD 21090
Warm Ups
Andover has a 25-meter pool with 6 lanes. Warm-Ups for your team are 8:30. The National Anthem will immediately follow and the meet will begin promptly at 9:00am.
Parking
Andover has two large parking lots and your team may use both. Please note that there is ONE-WAY traffic through our parking lot. It is easy to loop back around to the entrance of the lot if needed.
Visiting Team Area
After you enter our pool's main gate, proceed immediately left past the baby pool and through the pavilion. Your team may set up on the grassy area between the playground and the pavilion. The tiered grassy area on the opposite side of the pool along the black fence is reserved for our team and the tiered grassy area behind the blocks is reserved for Clerk of Course. We do have a covered pavilion, but we kindly ask for your families not to sit there. Please leave the pavilion area available to our pool members who are not participating in the meet. Canopies for shade are encouraged and welcome. A diagram of our pool is attached.
No Big Pool or Playground for Swimmers
Andover has two large pools. The meet will take place at the lap pool, which we refer to as the Tiger Tank. We have stressed to our team and families that during meets, swimmers are present to swim their events and to cheer on their teammates. Our swimmers must stay in the Tiger Tank area and are not allowed to play on the playground, play basketball or go into the big pool during the meet. Requiring them to be in the area helps ensure they arrive at the Clerk of Course on time when they are called. We kindly ask for your families to follow these same guidelines during the meet.
Tiger Cafe Concessions & 50/50 Raffle
Our Tiger Cafe will be open to serve both breakfast and lunch items. Breakfast items will include breakfast sandwiches, donuts and coffee. Lunch items include burgers, dogs, pizza, chicken tenders, fries, a variety of snacks, snowballs, ice cream and more. Our Tiger Cafe accepts both cash and credit.
We will have a 50/50 raffle during the meet, so please bring cash for the raffle.

End of Season Celebration - July 19
Kloby’s will be catering the event again this year. We will have pulled pork, chicken thighs, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, salad, veggies, and dessert. We will have limited drinks available that we left over from our concessions, so please bring your own. This year, the team will be able to cover the cost of the meal for swimmers and immediate family (parents and siblings only). I need an accurate head count, so please RSVP in SwimTopia by July 10! If you don’t RSVP, there will not be enough food for you.
Additional guests (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) will cost $15 per person and you can pay by cash to Christina or Aaron at any event or by card at a home event (Shenanigans or the celebration evening).
Mini Ray Meet - July 13
Please declare in Swimtopia if you would like to swim in the mini ray meet on Sunday, July 13. We welcome all junior coaches and older siblings to help time! All mini rays are invited to try this practice meet. There will be breakfast casserole, donuts, and candy for sale. We will start at 9 a.m.
