Night of Shenanigans

The Night of Shenanigans will take place on Wednesday, July 9 at 6 p.m. The pool will close early at 5:30 and we will get lanes lines in the water and swimmers lined up by 6. The Night of Shenanigans is an evening where the stingrays and mini rays come together for fun races! This year we have 3 relay races and 2 - 25 meter races. The events this year are:

• Noodle relay
• Tandem race (one swimmer uses arms, other uses legs)
• Float (bring your inflatable tubes!) relay
• T-shirt relay
• Boat relay (sign up in the next section)

Instead of signing up for each event and having lineups for all of them, we will only have lineups for the boat relay, which means you will only signup for the boat relay. If you would like to participate in the other events, please lineup, gather 4 of your friends, and listen to the coaches to tell you when to go! If you don't have a relay ready, we will group you with other swimmers.

Mini Rays

As you know, the weather has not been cooperating for the evening practices. Fortunately, we are able to extend your season by one week. There will be morning and evening practices on July 15 and July 17. That is Tuesday and Thursday only for both morning and evening practices. If more practices are canceled, we will not be able to extend the season further.

Please declare in Swimtopia if you would like to swim in the mini ray meet on Sunday, July 13.

Awards Night

It is time to register for the awards banquet on Sunday, July 20. Please let us know if you are coming and if you are participating in the dinner. Everyone is invited whether or not you eat! Kloby’s Smokehouse is catering the event again this year. The menu includes:

• Pulled pork
• Boneless chicken thighs
• Macaroni and cheese
• Mashed potatoes
• Salad

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Please sign up in Swimtopia if you will be eating Kloby’s dinner. If you can come but do not want the meal, you can declare “not attending.” Please still come and take part in the awards and dessert!

Please RSVP by July 13. You can pay by bringing cash in an envelope with your name on the outside and give it to Christina or Aaron at the meet on Saturday. Information will come out soon with a way to pay through the pool website.
