Tough meet today against Rollingwood. We had some great races and 95 best times! Unfortunately, we lost as Rollingwood scored 244.5 and we scored 237.5. So close!  Results are attached.

Volunteers

Thank you to the families who had multiple parents volunteer at the meet! Thank you also to the two rock star moms who have timed the entire meet at the last two meets (or more)! You rock! Please, we need more awesome families to step up and help. Don’t assume someone else will because they aren’t. We had 119 swimmers. We can do better to fill the 37 jobs!

This is going to be a crazy fun week! We have the Night of Shenanigans on Wednesday, July 10 at 6 p.m. Entries are due Sunday, July 7 at 11:59 p.m. Parent help will be needed - lineup, concessions, etc. More details below or in the email from Michelle.

Friday evening is the pep rally from 7 - 9 p.m.

Saturday is our home meet against North St. John’s! We will need lots of volunteers! Please declare by Tuesday, July 9 so that we can convey your concession donation on Wednesday instead of Thursday.

Banquet numbers are needed today so that we can work with Kloby’s to have a delicious dinner. Please pay by cash (to Christina or Aaron) or by credit through your pool account (https://swimhammond.org/shop/). More details below.

Mini ray swimmers, please declare for your meet by Friday, July 12. Junior coaches will be working this meet. Also, any siblings or older swimmers are very welcome to come and volunteer at this meet.

Team Banquet

We are organizing our team banquet for Sunday, July 21. Kloby’s Smokehouse will be catering the event. The cost will be $10 for adults and children 11 and over. Children 10 and younger will be $5. The menu will consist of pulled pork and several sides. Please declare on SwimTopia. Everyone can attend the banquet whether you choose to have the meal, but I need a head count for the catering by July 6! If you can come but do not want the meal, you can declare “not attending.”. Please still come and take part in the awards and dessert! Payment can be made in two forms:

1. Cash in an envelope with your family name and given to Christina or Aaron.
2. We are setting up an event through the pool membership so you can pay by credit card.

Payment will be due by July 14. The banquet is an event through the pool website and you can pay through your account.
