Schools Out!
Happy first week of no school!
Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered at time trials! The results are attached. Ignore the points for placing, that is just a setting in the program. Also, no swimmers were disqualified - that does not mean that they all swam a legal stroke. If you have questions about the rules in swimming, please come to the pep rally on Friday. One of our stroke and turn judges, Ryan, would love to explain what the judges are looking for and answer questions you may have. Please meet at the flag poll around 7:30 for this information session.
Friday - Pep Rally! Come join the fun at 7pm at the pool. Please declare for this so I have an idea of how many sweet treats to get. The theme for the meet is rainbows.
Canopies/Tents: You may begin setting up canopies in our team area at closing time on Friday night (9pm). Feel free to stay and help set up even if you didn’t sign up for it.
First home meet on Saturday, June 22 vs. Watermont!
Please declare for the meet by 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 11. Swimmers can ask for specific events, but the coaches will determine the final entries. Please let them know if your swimmer is available for a relay.
Warmups:
6&U / 8&U - 7:45am - 7:55am9-10 / 11-12 - 7:55am -8:10am
13 & Over - 8:10am - 8:25am
Meet Starts: 9am
Job signups opened on Monday morning at 7 a.m. Please volunteer! It is set to be an incredibly hot meet, so I am asking for lots of patience and compassion during the meet. Please help where you can. Feel free to give someone a 10 minute break during their session. It might be very difficult for some to work their entire shift. So please help each other out! Watch for people around you who might be overheating. We want a fun and safe meet.
Food
We are asking for meet declarations a little earlier this year to help you out. If we can get the declarations in by Tuesday, we will get the food list out by Wednesday. We know that it can be difficult to get to the store to get your donation and there is a pep rally so we are trying to give you an extra day. When you bring your donation to the meet, be sure to mark it off. This helps us know what food we have and what we don’t have. There are certain items we absolutely need and someone will have to go shopping during the meet if someone forgets one of these essential items!
Parking
Visiting teams get priority parking. Please do not try to park in our parking lot. We will have attendants checking. Please park at Hammond Middle/Elementary school. There is a path through the forest to get to the pool.
Stingrays gear
Our orders from Metro Swim Shop are scheduled to arrive before the meet. As long as that happens, you can pick them up on Saturday. Also the rest of the incentive shirts will be available.
Manta Rays
There are still spaces open for Manta Rays. Practices start on Tuesday, June 25 at 7 a.m. Sign up at our SwimTopia website.
Thank you for all you do to support the team!
Go Stingrays!
